INTRODUCING THE CAST

We officially have the show cast!

Heathers: The Musical will feature Madelyn Adams (Heather Chandler), Alex Allen (Ram Sweeney), Katherine Bottoms (Heather McNamara), Hailee Clover (Stoner Chick), Courtney Daniels (Heather Duke), Samantha Eve (Veronica Sawyer), Daniel Jared Hersh (Bitter Geek), Terry Li (Young Republicanette), Austin Robert Miller (Hipster Dork), Janelle Phaneuf (Martha Dunnstock), Timothy Reese (Blow-dried Preppy), Julie Anne Ruggieri (Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom), Trevor Shor (J.D.), Zachary Allen Thompson (Kurt Kelly), Todd Tickner (Ram’s Dad/Veronica’s Dad/Principal Gowan), Sydney Wesson (Goth Girl), and Jon Zuber (Kurt’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach Ripper).

 The production team deserves a shout-out too! Jenny Mercein, our director, has been an absolute godsend. Kacey Link will be rocking out with the band and the cast as our music director. Maggie Yates will be taking on some assistant director duties this time around and Katie Williams is our wonderful stage manager and resident Jill-of-all-Trades, keeping everything running smoothly. Our set and lighting design will be handled by the incomparable Ted Dolas, with tech direction by Brad Spaulding (who will be balancing levels on seventeen mics and making it look easy).

Right now, we're hammering out the final draft of the rehearsal schedule and contact list, and have already started the hunt for costume pieces (wait until you see these 80s blazers...) Postcards and posters have been ordered and received, promotional events are being planned (check us out at the Center Stage 25th Anniversary Celebration on August 15th), scripts have been labeled, the set concept has been discussed, and a photo shoot will hopefully be scheduled soon. So far, so good!

Over the next few months, you'll see a handful of the people mentioned in this post writing their own blog entries, detailing their experiences and impressions, sharing thoughts, cat photos, whatever strikes their fancy! Hope you enjoy this look behind the curtain of Heathers: The Musical.
